Working In Internet Cafes

I‘m now in Berlin, Germany after spending 4 weeks in the UK in Wales and London, visiting my sister and catching up with old friends. I’m having a wonderful time and it was so good to see everyone again.

I lived in Germany for 4 years, in Munich and Reutlingen (near Stuttgart) – I went to university there – and have very fond memories of the country.

Berlin is fascinating in terms of its history and culture. I’ve been on a couple of walking tours and learnt a lot about the city’s past. After Berlin, I’m going to Munich, Reutlingen and Frankfurt, for further catch-ups with friends and trips down memory lane.

At the moment, I’m sitting in an internet cafe writing this blog post, checking email and getting some client work done. I tried out some internet cafes in London as well and Gotomypc worked with no problems. I’m also using the additional security feature of passwords that can only be used one time – just in case any of these internet cafes have keylogging devices (i.e. just in case anyone is recording my passwords).

After Germany, I’ll be spending three weeks in Thailand before going home to Australia. It is one of my dreams to rent out a beach-house in Thailand for part of the year while still running my virtual business! So while I’m there I will look into some rental houses, find out about internet access and the feasibility of it all!
